Willem Oosthuysen is a South African composer, pianist, and music director. His musicals include #MARS (with Laura Kleinbaum, presented by Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab), Prodigy, (production: CCU, Denver; workshop productions: Tisch School of the Arts, Two Rivers Theatre Company, Indiana University), Two Bugs Are Better Than One (commissioned and produced off-broadway by New York City’s Children’s Theatre) Cinderella (commissioned and produced by Spotlight Youth Theater), and To Have And To Hold (Prospect Theater Company, Barrington Stage) all written with Jenny Stafford.

He has been an artist in residence at Goodspeed, CAP 21, and Berkshires Musical Theater Lab. His work has been showcased at Joe’s Pub, 54 Below, and Lincoln Center. Willem is also a Teaching Artist with the Disney Theatrical Group, and the pianist/composer for the rock band, Em & The Fates (album available online).
