The Band

Growing up on the East Coast as a daughter of a folk musician, Lindsay Taylor’s childhood home was always brimming with music and jams.  Meanwhile in the American Southwest, Brian Nelson grew up connected to the region’s desert landscapes, an environment frequently echoed in his songwriting. When the two met working for a folk music school in Denver, Colorado, a musical partnership was formed that allowed Nelson’s songs to blossom with broader instrumentations and a deeper acoustic sound provided by Taylor’s fiddle and mandolin work, and raw vocal harmonies.
